I know the Internet is not the place for games, but that CompUSA/Circuit City/Best Buy ARE

Who's got it the cheapest? I made calls but they're all clueless

I'd be very surprised if any of them are any lower than $50 the first week of release. If past trends hold, though, Best Buy should have it in the $40 range in a couple of weeks.
I've got a 20% off a PC Game coupon for BB that expires on Saturday, though, so this seems like a good item to spend it on. [IMG]

Actually, that's the thing. They don't advertise it, but CompUSA had Renegade for $15 off SRP

Preordered mine and have been playing it since yesterday [IMG] It IS AMAZINGLY cool so far and has pretty good AI... I paid $50 at EB for it, as BB and Comp won't have it in stock as quickly and no-one has advertised it cheaper. Should be in the B&M stores tomorrow or so... If you can - wait for Sunday's ads and it may be cheaper.

I just hope we don't get ripped off Wolfenstein-style. I think this is the biggest PC title to come out since then...

I'm not sure on B&M prices, but I ordered mine through EBGames.com and got free 2-Day shipping. I ordered the collector's edition which includes full versions of all 3 games in the series, a tin package and a lightsabre keychain for $60 shipped. Kind of steep I guess, but I would have had to drive 100 miles to get if I hadn't ordered it, so it was worth it.

Where is the UPC located on the Collector's Edition? EBGames has a $10 rebate if you send in the UPC. That'll be kinda hard if the UPC is on the tin though...
Oh yeah, any word on if the Collector's Edition includes the Mysteries of the Sith add-on for Jedi Knight?

This has nothing to do with the game itself (installing it as we speak) But the keychain you get with it is really cool! It has a flouresent lit saber. Only a novelty but definately makes the extra $10 a bargain to me.

I want the game but I'm not getting burned like I did Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
I waited out all the $59 and $69 prices until Sam's finally stocked it at $47.
I broke down and bought it, what happened? That weekend, Circuit City had it for $29!!!
These software companies are testing us to see if we will pay more than $50 for a game. Resist the dark side! [IMG]
I'll wait for a $39 price myself. Shouldn't have to wait long.

About that 10 dollar rebate, sure enough the UPC is part of the tin and not removable. I going to e-mail them to see whats up. I'll post what I find out.

I broke down and picked up the Collector's Edition for $59, hey you only live once. And that key chain is just too cool to miss out on....plus I have all the other Quake 3 Engine Tins.

I purchased the Collector's Edition last night. [IMG]
Have not had the time to sit down and play it...but plan to do so today.
On a negative note... my lightsaber keychain does not work (doesn't light-up)...so I'm wondering if there is a way to replace the fuse that's inside it? I can't seem to figure out how to go about this (as I can't get the fuse out) after un-screwing the lightsaber.

I'm doing just that on Monday. I called the retailer and they said they would take it back as long as the games themselves had not been opened - which they have not.
Thanks for the idea...I didn't think they would take it back just for the lightsaber not working [IMG]

Fry's Electronics in Southern California will have it for $32.99 on Monday and Tuesday. Don't know if this will apply to their web-site, Outpost.com too.
