Has anyone had the chance to listen to these, I think they're quiet nice looking and if the sound matches could be the perfect speaker for my first 2 channel system. Plus there huge, over 50 inch's tall!!!!And at the price $3500.00 US could be a cheap but perfect statement when my house is finished.

These are JBL high-end speakers, generally beyond the milk-money saving consumers! [IMG]

These will be a little more unless you can build the enclosure yourself. But if you want a speaker that sounds awesome and can also make a visually imposing statement you may also want to consider this.

I never got to hear the JBL's, but the picture on JBL's site doesn't do them justice.

Well that makes the AlphaLS cheaper, fully finished and shipped by Rutlegde Audio.

Looking at the Alpha LS, I can't help but remember with a grin that 30 years ago a DIY magazine promoted a setup called the "Sweet Sixteen" utilizing 16 inexpensive 4" speakers in one box that was supposed to sound "sweet". An Audio Mag tested them and said that it sounded like 16 cheap speakers. The opposite of what I can only imagine the Alpha LS sounds like.
