    Has anyone heard these?

I was thinking about going towers but the specs look pretty damn good for these speakers and were wondering what they sound like?

so they require a lot of space?

that's not good. The HT isn't exactly a big room.

I was gonna drive them with 150watts a piece for the fronts.

I actually own the HT4v synthesis line. great stuff! They sound great. I use the set of fronts as front and rear, and have the HTPS400 sub from that line as well. the sub kicks ass!

    POWERING SPEAKERS ARE:

    ROTEL RSP 1066
    ROTEL RMB 1075

I'm a HT/Audio consultant (pt time) and a JBL Synthesis dealer. Too bad you're in Canada.

But for HT, they are amoung the best.

Well they certainly are no slouch in that department, but as a VMPS dealer too, I generally use VMPS for those who are serious about duo-systems (Music/HT)

Price wise the Entry level RM1 is (priced through a dealer) just a touch over the HT4V.

If you talk to a dealer make sure and mention the Home Theater Forum (or AVS, Harmonic Discord, or Audio Circle) for the best discount.

If interested and you can't find a dealer in your area e-mail me.

    Regards,

    John

    Hi Khoa,

I'm in Century City. I don't have a store or even a shop. But I do have a demo system that I like to light up and show off.

I don't have any JBL Synthesis, but if you want to hear the VMPS RM40s "they await you pampered ears"[IMG]

Just privately e-mail me for my phone number and any LA or SO CA listers are welcome to come by for a listen or just to talk HT/Audio.

    Regards,

    John

Back to Ron's subject, if this is for strictly HT then i would strongly recommend you go with the synthesis...but for music i would recommend something else and that's where john comes in! take it john!

    Hi Khoa,

I didn't intend to be self promoting, since this is more of a hobby with a tax write off, but I am only too happy to help any HTF members if I can.

    All the best,

    John

PS don't forget to call me when in LA, if you want to hear the RM40s.
