JBL subwoofers (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have any experience with JBL subwoofers? Particulary the powerbass series(PB-10, PB-12). How do they perform musically? For movies? any opinions please. thanks.

I have the PB10. I find it to be more than enough for my current needs. While most will suggest going with the 12 if you stick with JBL, my 10 does great service in a 12x17x8 room. To my ears it is both musical and very effective for HT. I think JandR.com still have this for $199 w/free shipping which is what I paid over a year ago.

Of course there's better out there but these PB's are a nice little package for the money.

I have had the PB12 for over 3 years and I am quite happy with it.

I auditioned a PB-12 about 1 1/2 years ago. Put out a decent amount of bass, but distorts VERY easily, so you really need to be careful about not pushing it too hard. Good sub if you get it at a decent price.
