I'm finally trying to complete my surround sound setup, and I need some advice.
I have two JBL s38s for front speakers and a JBL s center ii for a center speaker hooked up to a 5.1 Onkyo receiver. I need 2 surround speakers, but it's not easy to find matching s series speakers these days.
The best I can currently find online is the s36 all weather. I can get a used pair of those for about $150, but I wonder if the all weather speakers sound different than the indoor? Are they just more weather resistant than indoor speakers or do they not sound as good?
The other option I have is to pick up some L series speakers for my surround speakers. I can get a new pair of L810s for about $215. How well does the L series voice match to the S series? I can also get the L820 and L830 for a little bit more.
My biggest concerns are voice matching and size. I want a smaller speaker for my surround speakers.
Any thoughts?
