Just a little info regarding the JBL S-series...Some poo-poo it as a subpar speaker but my current setup consists of:
2 S312ii (LR)
S-Centerii
6 N-24ii (SL, SR, RS)
2 S120pii (sub)
one of the best sub $1500 systems i've ever heard (got it through employee accommodations) the only thing i'd recommend is that you use the s312 or s310 for your mains (or even the s412) because when the s36 and 38's are paired with a sub, the transition is kinda rough, even with good tuning. If space is limited, I know that Best Buy sells a mounting bracket for large speakers (25lbs.)The next upgrade for my system will be 3 pairs of s36 for my surrounds-definately good speakers.
