After all this reading about correct inpedance and wattage, and people blowing out their speakers, I am really getting nervous regarding my decision. I just purchased the Onkyo 500 which is rated at 5 X 55 watts, and I also just ordered the SCS135 speakers. These are rated up to 100 watts at 8ohms. Is this a good match? I get the concept of all these numbers but it is still not helping me make an accurate determination as to which speakers are good for what receivers. Any help soon would be great so I could cancel my order if need be.

Thanks in advance

Niel,

I just bought the SR600 and last years model SCS135. I haven't really taken the time to properly set the system up as I am moving soon but I had the five speakers and sub spaced out in a 12 x 17 room and I sounded geat. I turned the volume up to 75 and the sound was clear and the bass was booming. All in all I have no real complaints.
