Can anyone comment on the JBL Hti6, Hti8, SP6 or SP8? I am mostly concerned with the sound quality compared to the Northridge series of speakers.

I can go with either E10s for surrounds, or any of the above in-walls for surrounds.

Thanks

Steven,
I use the HTI-6C for my multi-zone audio system. They are the first in-ceiling speakers that I've owned. I didn't know what to expect with in-walls/ceiling, but I must say that I am impressed with the sound. They produce good bass and the aimable tweeters help you get the highs where needed. I expect the HTI6 or 8's would be good as well.

Usually in-walls are considered for aesthetic or practical reasons, not because they sound better than traditional cabinet design. In fact, most would probably argue that in-walls sound worse than cabinet designs.

You have to look at your reasons for going with one design over the other.

Depending on your priorities, the in-walls may be more practical and that may outweigh a potential difference in sound quality.
