Java problem (1 Viewer)

Ever since I got XP Pro, I can't load chats or anything java. It says i need to download and install Java virtual machine, so i click download, and the download screen just stays on my computer, FOREVER. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

Get the Java plugin directly. Download it and install it like any old program.
