Recently watch Junk and Stacy, and wondering if there are other Japanese zombie flicks I should know about. Thought Junk was alot of fun, but had a hard time getting past the amateurishness of Stacy.

Versus is the best one I know of, but it's more of an action movie with some comedy than a horror flick. I didn't much care for Stacy or Wild Zero, although the latter has its fans.

I liked Versus a lot and I want to check out all 3 of the other mentioned titles, Junk, Stacy, Wild Zero.
I'm a bit hesitant about WZ, as it seems to have a love/hate reaction....

It's Hong Kong instead of Japan, but I remember a lot of buzz about Bio-Zombie a while back. Never saw it myself, but. . . .

Yeah, STACY had some good ideas but in the end it was a bit of a mess. I'm seeing VERSUS on the big screen this Saturday. Yay!

How about chinese stuff? Mr. Vampire and Encounters of the Spooky Kind. Technically, they´re vampire movies, but the "hopping vampires" of chinese culture are more like zombies than vampires.

I'll also recommend Versus, if you don't mind action mixed in with your zombies.

John.

BIO-ZOMBIE!! Forgot about that and I own it! really enjoyable film. I heard there was a sequel called Bio-Cops but I haven't tracked it down yet....
Mr. Vampire is good, Vampire vs Vampire is decent. I also really liked the recent Tsui Hark's Vampire Hunters.

Hate to add nothing to this thread, but I need to add my extremely enthusiastic :emoji_thumbsup: for Bio-Zombie. Great little film: twisted, funny, irreverent, and at times really sad. The DVD has an extremely entertaining and well done dub track (and I rarely say that, believe me).

Thanks for the suggestions... looks like I'll be tracking down Bio-Zombie and Versus for sure.
