    Hi all,

I've seen some Japanese PS2 memory cards (manufactured by Sony, not third-party ones) on eBay. Are these safe to use with the NTSC Region 1 PS2's while we're in a US memory card shortage? I'd really like to have a memory card, and I understand not to buy a third-party one at this point.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Nathan,

Yes, they are compatible with the US PS2. But don't pay too much for them. Production should pick up in the US in April. Also check some of your local Target stores. I've been lucky to find them there than at the regular game stores (Electronic Boutique, Gamestop, Funcoland, Best Buy, Software ETC). About a week ago the Target in Tucker had about 20 PS2 memory cards for $34.95.
