As we now know, the Region 1 release of Schindler's List has turned out to be a flipper (and has poor packaging quality as well). I'm returning my copy unopened. The Japanese edition is to be released on 23 April. They appear to be releasing the same choice of either the special presentation box with various extras included or a standard version. However, does anyone know whether the layout of the film will be identical in Japan, i.e. still a flipper? Japan sometimes do their own thing with these releases. For example, their release of 'Gangs Of New York' had the whole film on one dual-layer disc whereas the Region 1 version was split (and in a horrible place as well). The quality of that film didn't suffer in the Japanese version, so I'm wondering whether they might do something equally sensible with Schindler's List.
