Wow, one of my best friends love this movie so I got to tell him about it. Another great performance by Cagney. Everytime I see this film, I wonder what whether Chaney and Thalberg were really that close?

I'm happy for the Cagney people but more Dorothy Malone on blu ray is a good thing!

Cagney's head and face are too round to offer a make-up (specifically for the Phantom sequence) that is really much of a likeness to Chaney's, but the film is good and the star does well. Frank Skinner's score is memorable.

James Cagney was 57 years old when he did this movie. Still a Great Performance by a Great American actor.
