I thought the streamed versions had the same lossless DTS-MA tracks as the blu rays?

I think although we would love a UHD Bond collection but feel we are all getting ahead of ourselves as catalog titles in general are still in the infancy on UHD.... many many franchises are yet to hit physical disc, just look at what has actually been released...

and most of us know, the handicapped MGM will need to outsource somewhere as well

What are the other bond films with new masters or considered significantly improved?
Most of the Connery films and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are about on par with their respective disc versions. Thunderball and Live and Let Die look significantly more natural and film-like on iTunes. The Man with the Golden Gun, For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill look slightly better to me on iTunes, but it's not a huge difference. Moonraker looks about the same, but the titles aren't windowboxed on iTunes. Octopussy and Goldeneye are the biggest improvements to me, much more natural and less "digital" looking. A View to a Kill is also improved as it isn't cropped like the disc and the camera shake is present in the earthquake scene. The only two I would say fare better on disc are Dr. No and The Spy Who Loved Me. The black levels on the iTunes Dr. No are seriously crushed.

I believe the Blu-rays have the 4k masters of the Connery and Lazenby movies and a couple Moore movies, but the rest are all older masters. Until Casino Royale anyway, everything after that would be the same DIs. Which Moore movies are the 4k remasters... I know Spy Who Loved Me is, but not sure on the rest. Most are not.

Moonraker and live and let die are the other Moore films that were originally mastered at 4k many moons ago. For ultimate edition dvd.

I believe that all of the films now have 4k mastering though for the iTunes 4K release.

Spy had a new master for Blu Ray as well.

Sound quality can be a big deal breaker for me and honestly if it is in Dolby Digital in any format disc or streaming I will not buy it. I use to replace and get rid of my Dolby movies as they where replaced by DTS versions. But now if I buy a great sounding movie it doesn't matter if it is Dolby True HD or DTS-HD Master Audio or now DTS:X or Dolby Atmos. But since I have the 50th Anniversary Bond set I will be picky with any 4K Bond I may get. Granted there are certain Bond titles for me are a must have in 4K. I have a soft spot for Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me but Skyfall is a must in 4K!

There are about half dozen Bonds i would buy on 4k, alas Goldeneye isnt among them as i consider Brosnan to be a terrible Bond, easily the worst, and utterly unlike the character as written by Fleming.

I don’t mean to start an argument, but I think that the AppleTV is the streaming equivalent of an Oppo disc player or whatever the best speaker is or whatever the best car is. It’s a premium product that delivers a premium performance.

Not saying that the Apple TV is not high quality but I seriously doubt it is on the same level as the Oppo disc player and defiantly not the same build or quality of parts as the Oppo.

My apologizes, has there been any word on possible release dates for any James Bond Movies on 4K UHD Blu-ray yet?

My wish list:
Spectre (The only bond film I do not have in my collection yet)
Skyfall
Casino Royale
Die Another Day
Tomorrow Never Dies

For Your Eyes Only
Moonraker
The Spy Who Loved Me
The Man With The Golden Gun

To get things somewhat back on track, I have seen a number of the films theatrically with 4K DCPs and they look excellent, so the 4K discs should look amazing.

If there is a set I can’t wait to revisit the films at 4k
Today, I would watch golden gun first. The Blu Ray has a great 2k scan

That's one I had a chance to see on a big screen - the 4K DCP is much better.

I would assume these would all be great sellers. They should have been out already.
In a box set and individually.

The apple 4k versions should have all of the new 4k scanning. Well at least to the films that apply / hadn’t previously been scanned at 4K.

Several of the 007 films are now streaming on Netflix.
Not sure if there is any transfer differences.

I did watch golden gun and octopussy to see if I noticed any differences.

The audio isn’t as punchy and the video for streaming is ok.
