There was a DVD in this week's Entertainment Weekly (Cover is The Apprentice) with the entire series premiere episode for Jack & Bobby which will premiere on The WB on September 12. I'm not sure if this is only included for subscribers or on newstands as well. I wasn't planning on watching the show this fall but I may actually sample it now, which I'm sure is the point of the free DVD. [IMG]

Sorry, I already threw out the magazine but I think it was around page 30-40.

I received this issue in the mail today, but I did NOT have the DVD. Perhaps it was only in random copies?

    Got the disc....

    Watched the disc.........

Pushes the fact it will broadcast in HD yet the dvd is non 16x9.........

and the long story short.... don't know how this will make it as the concept is interesting, but doesn't seem to have enough to hold ones attention past a 3 or 4 episodes run.

I'm a long-time subscriber as well, and I didn't get the DVD either, but I *did* get a stinkin' air freshener, though! [IMG]

    Got the free DVD.

All you get is the episode in a paper sleeve.
No menus or even a preview of the season of Jack & Bobby or any other shows.

Started to watch it, but it made me very sleepy. Very boring, all talk drama. And the title, Jack & Bobby is misleading. Made me think it was about Jack & Bobby Kennedy when they were teenagers. Not the case, it's about teens today and that one becomes President in 2049 or something.

Unless you like talky dramas, I would steer clear of this show.

And that Air Freshner is for the show "How Clean is Your House?" on Lifetime. With those two snotty women telling others how messy their house is. So I put the freshner where I thought it would be most fitting, right over the cat litter box.

From what I read, the DVD is available only in issues sent to a few cities > NY, LA, and I think Chicago and San Francisco . All together, it was only 4 or 5 markets that recieved the disc with their issue

Bummer. But the concept didn't really interest me. I wish the WB picked up Dark Shadows or Lost In Space over Jack & Bobby. I didn't get a DVD in my EW (but I hope i get the Fall Movie Preview issue promised to me if i subscribed by a certain date).

I got it, watched it, Christine Lahti's quirky performance has everything that Emmy just luvs' to nominate. As a whole J & B is ok but since the WB cancelled Angel they just don't serve too much of a purpose for my viewing pleasure anymore.

I got it too. I really don't know how they can make this show into a long-running series. It had a poor script and terrible acting from most of the younger cast members. They better pick it up in episode 2 if they want to finish out the season. Oh, and I also got the Air Freshner for that other show, and the smell of it made me feel queezy.
