No doubt these d********s have co-opted Bob, Jack and Greg's fine restoration work on this public domain title, much like what happened years ago to Bob's restoration of Africa Screams on laserdisc.
Out of respect for their work ( and those of us who funded it on kickstarter ) I'd like to see this link removed, but of course it's your website to do as you please.

I already have the ClassicFlix version with far superior coverart. No need for this one really.

I don't think this is outright slop or theft as I just reviewed a Film Masters release that's excellent quality in every way. Seems redundant with the ClassicFlix release, but I'd wait and see.
I don't see the logic of this release, unless they just need the edition to say Film Masters? An Amazing edition is already out in the world on Blu ray (ClassicFilx), and with all the other titles that need the love, repeating the same film seems redundant, not to mention a waste of their time.
I remember when VCI realeased theirs, and unfortunatly they were limited to the technology and elements that they were able to aquire.
ClassicFlix created the best edition to date, and this still leaves me at a loss...they can release it, but I don't know who would double dip, just to support a botique label...I wish them all the best!!

They seem to specialize in Public Domain titles. I have several of their releases and they are excellent-among the best PD restorations out there. Let’s face it, it’s nice to have a label that is taking the time and energy to release watchable versions of these neglected films.
But this release is puzzling! We already have a good version from VCI, and a fantastic out of this world restoration from 3D Archive/ Classic Flix. Don’t know who this Film Masters Blu-ray is aimed at . I seriously doubt they could improve on that Classic Flix release.

With this move, it brings me back to Film Masters original Welcome trailer. In it, it had snippets from various films, among them was indeed the A&C Jack in the Beanstalk, and The Littlest Princess 1939 Shirley Temple, Richard Greene and Cesar Romero. The Inspector General 1949 with Danny Kaye and Captain Kidd 1945 with Charles Laughton, Randolph Scott and John Carradine.
Other films of course, but these were the 3 that stood out in my mind, at the time...but does the release of this title mean that the others will be released as well, somewhere down the line?

They could all use a decent restoration and Blu ray release. I know before they sold the company aka Film Detective, they did a cleanup of the Inspector General on dvd. Nothing to special, just a once over and not really a full restoration that it needed. Just a little better than the bargin bin PD releases. I'm hoping with this new company, they will give this title a more focused restoration on Blu ray.

As mentioned, Jack In The Beanstalk already has a fantastic restoration. The other two would be nice. Here’s a PD title that is rarely mentioned-The Pied Piper Of Hamlin -the fifties film . Now if they could restore that one it really would be something.

Some of you are really dragging this company without having any proof that they actually stole Classic Flix's master. Rather people like it or not Jack and the Beanstalk is in public domain so other company's have a right to put out a home video release of it. Personally I think Classic Flix's restoration looks great and I don't plan on buying another release of it. Film Masters has been releasing movies on blu-ray for over a year and I've heard mostly positive things about their releases. You can look at all of their releases and reviews on the other blu-ray forum site or even check out their website.

How was the picture quality on that version?
Fair, kind of like an HD bump to a faded copy...better but not by much. Maybe they will do better this time. But really, the Cows out of the barn!!! The edition by ClassicFilx is now the earmark for this title...

Honestly, Phil and his team Do care, and it can be seen in his releases and the packaging and quality reflects that care for the titles and his customers. I just don't see the reasoning for re-releasing a title that previously has seen 2 editions, VCI and ClassicFlix? I'm sure that he is fully aware of the other companies in the market.
