Hey,
We have Mitsubishi XL8U projector for quite sometime. I used to connect it to my laptop, after sometime I added VGA to HDMI converter so I can play Blu-rays, however, HDMI conection wasn't working with my flatmates laptop so we decided to buy Blu-ray player. We got one of Philips 3000 series players but once I connected it to the projector everything was heavily tinted in magneta (everything else works perfectly - sound, resolution, blu-ray features, etc)

I have tried to adjust the colors on the projector but the tint is too strong.I heard somethign about the calibration disk. What is it and how it works? Can it solve the problem?
Is there any other possible solutions?
Or should I simply change either the player of the projector? (would be a shame to change the projector as we changed the bulb less than a year ago)

What connects to the Blu-ray player? HDMI cable? if so, I would try another cable. It can also be a setting in the player's menu. Where it asks for color space: RGB, etc.
