Because it can now be reattached.

(Although I take exception with the words 'medical miracle' as it's the result of a lot of hard work and effort and ingenuity of the doctors.)

That is just amazing. Obviously it wasn't his time to go. Glad he is ok, especially after being hit by a drunk driver.

Whats even more amazing I think is that his spinal cord was just fine! It just kinda slipped his head off it.

Hmmm...it appears as though I lost the word "lose" in my thread title. I hope some nice admin can find it and reattach it to title...

Damn! First I have to fight off a weird little guy named Herbert who came sneaking around, then I have to worry about the established medical community wanting to get their hands on my little collection. It just gets tougher and tougher every day. I just can't seem to get ahead of the situation.

    Jack made a funny!

Who's Herbert? The name, it sounds familiar...

Cool story. I wish they had before and after pictures!

The doctors who headed up this surgery are obviously head-and-shoulders above the rest, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. It's not like "noggin-swappin" is right around the corner.

Hmmm....If I could swap noggins with anyone in the world...

So when can I have my head placed on a robot body? It will have the strength of five gorillas, you know*.

Anyways, the thing is that his spinal cord was intact, as well has his major arteries weren't damaged, so its not as huge a deal as it is if they were severed.. THAT would be quite an amazing feat...
