Honestly, I like the bodystyle but that's about it. Bmw's usually dont catch my eye.You obviously haven't driven one lately!

About the NSX... I used to have a Need for Speed PC game which had one. It was an extremely nice ride but seriously down on power (as compared to a Viper or Porsche). Possibly a four cylinder. You're kidding me right? You are judging an Acura NSX by a video game?!?!
You're kidding me right? You are judging an Acura NSX by a video game?!?!Actually, from the reviews I've read, he's pretty close to what the pros say about it.
FYI, it has a Vtec V6 engine (almost the same one in the new Acuras) with 290 HP. So yes, it is underpowered for an exotic.

Me, I'd love to have a Lotus Elise if they were imported and not rumored to have Lotus "quality"Heh, heh. I almost bought a used Esprit. Love that car. Then I visited some Lotus enthusiast sites on the net.
Put it this way: There is a reason you can get a $90k car for $30k with only a couple thousand miles on it. Unless you have a good buck a mile to pour into maintenance, forget it.
Personally, I'm saving up for a DeLorean.
Personally, I'm saving up for a DeLorean.one question.. why?
personally had I the cash laying around I'd get a porsche 928. They were never very poplar so fairly cheap now, 14 grand ish for a really nice one. V8, aluminum body also IIRC, always thought it was nifty.
I'd take a ferrari 308GT too, but as you say, the maintenance is like 5 grand a year

The factor that makes the difference is curb weight. Most of these high HP exotics are heavy whereas the NSX is light as a feather in comparison. The only problem that this creates is not great traction in poor weather conditions...he says it doesn't handle very well when the roads are wet. Of course, he drives his other car (Mazda MX-6) when it's raining.
