No idea. I only know what I'm reading here, so far. But weren't we supposed to get the 3-D broadcasts on a delay? Several hours at least, or a whole day?

3D broadcasts are delayed by a day.
My Google-fu found this:
http://www.3dplaystation.net/3d-olympics-schedule-on-the-nbc-3d-channel-channel-1003-on-verizon-fios-1300-on-optimum/
Times are Eastern. Looks like I will be getting up at 4:00am central to see the opening ceremonies, after all.

It was a bit of a coin flip as its really more specific to 3D.....
Oh, I see, its in the 3D bluray sub forum.
I use HTF exclusively from the main forum page. So I only saw it in the Bluray forum from there, never thinking that it might make sense in 3D Bluray more than it would TV programming.
thank you for the explanation.

Now the question is...what's the schedule? I've googled to no avail.
I may be getting up at 4:00am to watch the opening ceremonies....in that case, no popcorn, but coffee will be required.
I'm confused 4a cst?

The 3D broadcasts are delayed by a day, and start early morning.

I guess the 3D must have been great because watching on regular D this ceremony stinks.
A complete bore.

I'm watching it in 2D now. Very good. Can't wait to see it in 3D tomorrow morning.

With a few exceptions, one of the worst opening ceremonies ever. I'll check it out in 3d but my expectations have been greatly lowered.

I like it. I just hope the 3D doesn't have as many commercial breaks.

And this ceremony was directed by Danny Boyle.
I'm still at work, waiting to go home to watch it in 3D.

Apparently NBC's ad-editing has offended by cutting out a tribute to the Londoners killed by the 7/7/2005 bombings. Can you imagine the stink that would be raised by a 9/11 tribute being pre-empted by an ad for a Happy Meal?

Was this last night on prime time? That was all tape delay and shouldn't need to cut anything.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but others have told me that certain things we're seeing now on the 3-D repeat were not there last night.

The 3-D is great, but in certain shots it's obviously closer in resolution to SD than HD. Nevertheless, well worth having. I didn't get up at frickin' 5 a.m. to watch the beginning so I'm hoping I'll be able to catch the Danny Boyle extravaganza later.

Oh, another GREAT thing about the repeat, at least on this Comcast channel: None of that annoying network voice-over commentary.

Oh, we had a tremendously bad voice-over commentary as well. Ours spent a good deal of his time trying to spot his cousin who was one of the dancers. :D
