No doubt much of it is repetitive but looking at the Anthology liner notes, even for the White Album and Abbey Road, there were at most a few dozen takes/versions of each song. There's also a whole lot of studio chatter, demos, etc.

Even if you're a casual Beatles fan, Anthology (esp. Vol. 2 and 3) are very, very interesting and entertaining
Not to mention very clean & full of life. I would think the success of this project centers around quality tapes (like any other project) and assembling the right people for each Mono/Stereo/Multi-channel category.

Wouldn't it make sense assign the project to George Martin and let him assemble a team?

There are some drawbacks to A2 and A3. Some tracks lack the bass track, the restoration/hatchet job on You Know My Name and the use of the edited Sessions version of Not Guilty.

Otherwise, alot of it is gooood listening!
