Personally, my two faves are Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel.
I used to eat at these places all the time when I was traveling in PA, OH, etc. Sadly, there aren't any out here :frowning: I can't remember what I would order most at BE, but at Cracker Barrel chicken and dumplings was my fav.
I like Jack in the Box.

Subway, McDonalds and Burger Baron. Gotta love those delicious mushroom burgers at BB. :)

Giordano's Pizza (Chicago)
I went there once about 15 years ago and still remember the name. Damn that was good. Chicago also has just about the best overall restaurant I've ever gone to. I can't remember the name, but there was also one in Greenwich CT. Somehow, I managed to eat at both of them.

My favorite is definitely Schlotzky's Deli. Their vegetarian sandwich and pizza are divine.

I have to go with three all time favorites, two from college that probably get on this list because I cannot find them in the Northeast.

Chick-Fil-A and Long John Silvers.

I also have to give props to a new chain that recently came into the area, Red Robin. I'm finding their burgers are killer, and I am not a big burger lover. Not in love with the overly family friendly decor however. I feel too old to be in there when I eat, like Tom Hanks looked when dancing on the giant sized keyboard in FAO Schwartz (in Big).

Honorable mention definately goes to Panera Bread and Taco Bell.

Big props to Duncan Donuts for their coffee alone.

OK, for an occasional fast food burger I pick Wendy's
For fast food chicken, I love Bojangles especially with some Texas Pete on it
Applebee's is good for inexpensive decent food
The Loop is a very good inexpensive place with good pizza too. Never saw one outside of NC though

I forget how much I like them of them since there are very few in San Francisco and they tend to be near the tourist areas...Come to San Francisco and eat Generic food, I love it!
White Castle - I generally ask my friends from Chicago to bring a back with them or else they get no ride from the Airport
