It's All Happening At The Zoo (1 Viewer)

Some shots from Alligator Adventure in Myrtle Beach, SC last week. This complex is across the main road from our condo. We do not visit too often, but had a little extra time this trip.

...and yes, they do have alligators there, too.

It was a nice day (for January in Michigan), so it warranted a zoo trip.

From this morning's visit.

The river otter exhibit has been expended since our last visit. You can now view the otters outside with no glass.

The new baby camel, only a month old, and the proud parents. I usually do not take photos of the camels, as the background is lousy, but I made an exception in this case.

Another zoo visit this morning. I tried something a little different, using my new mirrorless Canon M50 and my EF 70-200L f/4 IS lens via the EF to EF-M adapter. Some of the exhibits are being renovated (red panda and tigers), and that along with the summer heat kept some of the animals in hiding.

From this morning's visit. This time I brought along the Canon M50 mirrorless body and EF-M 55-200mm lens. This is the lightest camera + lens combo I can ever remember taking to the zoo. It made for a nice, comfortable walk. The M50 is also much better at recording video than my two dSLRs, so I shot a few video clips, too. The forum will still not let me embed videos from Smugmug, though.
