TV: Toshiba 34" widescreen CW34XC2 direct view CRT. (NOT rear projection.)
DVD: Panasonic RP91, Apex AD-600A, RCA 5200p
With the Panasonic RP91 in progressive mode, the movie images have never been better. Crystal clear images. However, no matter what I do, I always have that @#$@!*^(% red push.
Will ISF calibration solve or minimize red push on my direct view?
This is damn irritating. One would think that if one spends 4 digit dollars on a TV, at least the colours would be OK.

By the way, Avia says I have about a 20ish% red push, with the green in blue within about +/-5%.
What about one of those gold yeringto mini attenuators ? They're meant for the Mitsubishi TVs with 25% red push, so I figure this is close enough.
Other options? I'm a bit wary about the Radio Shack stuff.

The red push attenuator fix should work but only, of course, for your component input.
cheers,

Greetings
The colour decoder is accessible via the design menu in the TV set. A knowledgable ISF guy can fix it for you. If you are willing, you can fix it yourself too.
There are some 4 to 5 parameters that you have to change to completely tame the red push.

How complicated/dangerous? I've seen some codes for the Toshiba RPTVs, but so I have seen nothing on the Toshiba direct view 34" widescreen. Are the codes the same? Or are they completely different?
If not easy then I'd consider just getting the attenuator, although it's meant for the 25% push of the Mitsubishi.
