Is your center speaker @76db in your system?

    Do most of you have your center speaker 1 db hot (76db)?

    I do. I like to make sure I have it up 1db extra just incase I find myself not being able to hear dialouge during intense moments. Like the opening of SPR.

    No! 75 dB all-around via Video Essentials and Yamaha's internal test signal generator.

    Calibrated to 75dB, +3dB vocal enhance at very low (reference -50 to -40dB) volumes although the boost is at least frequency dependant if not something more complex.

    Not to mention that a 1dB difference is about the smallest possible variation our ears can detect....

    All 75 dB including Sub. Of course, my shakers add around 3 dB to the sub. Yes my Shakers produce sound. [​IMG]
