I just watched it on the Discovery Channel, and really enjoyed it, and would pick it up in a second. I hope they do release it on DVD like they did with Walking With Dinosaurs and Walking With Prehistoric Beasts.

I wish they'd put Neanderthal on DVD. It's on VHS.

This was a really well done, fascinating program. Out of perverse curiousity, I wonder if the DVD would be without the blurred-out nudity.

Yeah, I was thinking this as I was watching it tonight too. They usually have this stuff ready right after it airs.

I included this title in my Weekly Roundup (go to HTF's section for Coupons & Bargains...or use the link to that section in my signature).

Thanks to everyone who responded. Glad to see some others liked it. I'll definitely be getting it when I get the money.

This is funny because I had it on my WishList on DeepDiscount for quite some time thinking that it had already aired, so imagine my shock when they started airing advertisements for it.

There was some blurring at times on some close ups when genitals were "flying" but medium and long shots were as is. No matter, the show was terrific. It being available so quick makes sense, since they have had millions of years to get the show on DVD! [IMG]

A couple of topics both on and off the main subject.

First off I bought this at borders tonight, and the package does not give the aspect ratio. I was wondering if anyone knows B4 I open mine?

Second I went to the Discovery store to look for this first B4 Borders. They did not have it in stock so I asked about it and the clerk says they will get it in about 4 weeks. When I said it came out a week ago he said that they got it in but because it was the origional UK version they had to send it back and wait for the Ameican version. Anybody know anything about this?

The one I got from Borders is the UK version and cost $16.00 after the 15% coupon from the bargains section.

The pattern for Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Beasts was to release the BBC version on DVD and the Americanized Discovery Channel version on VHS (or so I was told).

The DVD version of Cavemen is definitely the BBC version and the nudity is definitely not blurred.
