so what exactly makes this tv so great? what do you normally look for when selecting a tv?

one thing is sony actually builds the parts (few companies today build their direct view sets) the picture quality tends to be a little sharper than many, now don't get me wrong there are other sets in teh general price range that are just as good, but sony has said tehy ar going to stay with the technology for a while, and other companies are dropping it
