At lunch time my wife picked up ZIROQ (DVD-A)for $12.99 @ JandR in NYC. It's even on there web site at this price.
Just last week it was $22.99 !!! It's priced cheaper than the redbook CD....I'll post my opinions on how it sounds tonight.[IMG]

Anthony, is this a Warner title? Warner dropped prices of DVD-Audio discs about six weeks ago. Circuitcity.com has them for $13.99 each. Amazon has them for $14.99 each. Unfortunately, Best Buy stores still have them for $22.99. [IMG]

No, Ziroq is a 5.1 Entertainment group title, Silverline if memory serves me correctly.

I think there was a press release not too long ago announcing price reductions for Silverline to put them in line with Warner. Of course, like Keith said, Best Buy still has yet to get wth the program.

John, Anthony, and Justin, thanks for the information. It would make sense for Silverline to be competitive with Warner. Perhaps Best Buy will pay attention to developments in DVD-Audio pricing one day. [IMG]

John, that sounds very familiar. Hmmm.... [IMG] That's O.K., despite all the talk here and everywhere, I still don't believe the Stones' ABCKO albums are coming out on SACD. Not until I see them for myself. [IMG]

From what I've heard, if you go by the exterior packaging you don't know it's an SACD.

John, that is true. I picked up the new release of Hot Rocks 1964-1971, and there is no mention on the front or back covers of SACD compatibility. [IMG] Can we blame Sony for this? [IMG]

    Keith,

Of more interest to me is what the return rate could be.

Computer DVD-ROM drives could fail to read the CD layer, many DVD-V players now user computer DVD-ROM drives as well.

Anyway to get return statistics due to failure to play?

    Just curious.

    Regards,

John, reports are already coming into this site of incompatibility of the Stones discs with older Pioneer and Toshiba DVD players.
    You asked:

Compatibility problems? Could it be "security" technology thrown on to the disc?
