I've had my dose of Atmos this week. I got both of the come lately Star Trek movies on UHD-BD last week. Star Trek sounded pretty good. Into Darkness was spectacular in Atmos. I wish I could decode DTS-X. I have a half-dozen videodiscs that sport it already. In a year or two I'll get myself a pre that does both. My Onkyo 1030 that I won on this forum only pushes 2 of my 11 channels. It'll make for an easy upgrade. ...just one more amp....I sure wish I could play the Independence Day UHD-HD in DTS-X. It was darn impressive in 7 channel DTS. I bet I have close to 30 Atmos titles now. I'm feeling jaded and spoil't lately.... ;)

What does your manual say. I looked at the back of your model and did not see pre-outs for the Atmos channels. Do you have to quit using the surround rear speakers and perhaps divert them to Atmos channels on the menu?

I think I have to upgrade the amp to an ATMOS AMP as there is a difference in simulation . I will go Onkyo 646 in terms of delivery, accessibility and economically available in the Philippines. I need advise how can I utilize my old AVR to be integrated with my Old Denon.

Any advise is very much welcome...
