Is this DVD player the same as the Panasonic RP91?

    I didn't see progressive scan mentioned. The RP91 is listed as having 54mhz/12bit conversion in the progressive mode and the player shown is listed as 54mhz/10 bit. In addition I believe the progressive button is missing from the front of the player. Looks like an iterlaced player with a lot of the other features of the RP91.

    Haris, I have read a bit about the 'RA71 in British hi-fi magazines (What Hi*Fi? and Hi-Fi Choice). It looks to be similar to the 'RP91, but lacks progressive-scan video output. This player is not marketed in North America, and I am not sure where outside of Europe it is sold. For one reason or another, it is not too uncommon for manufacturers to market a non-progressive-scan version of a North American progressive-scan player in Europe.
