So a guy at Sweetwater.com emailed me back a price on something and threw this in..

"Since you have little taste for the wrong sode of the cow, $935 shipped, I have several in stock"

??? I looked it up on Google and did not find anything quickly so I figured Id ask here.

Was I insulted or what? :b

I think what he is telling you is you don't know quality from junk. "the wrong side of the cow" means you would rather buy a cheap cut of meat to save money instead of going for the more flavorfull but higher cost sections of beef.

So yeah, I would guess that in a round about way he is saying you don't know quality from junk so he'll sell you the crap you are requesting.

    My interpretation would be:

"Since you won't take any shit"

implying that he isn't going to play games with you and is offering the best price upfront.

Maybe it would be better stated as

Since you have little taste for the wrong sode of the bull

I hate to deal with that side of the bull too...

    At least that's my interpretation...

Why are you buying a cow?

Translation; Since you don't put up with inferior product.

He seems to be implying that he's giving you a great deal because you are a man of taste. Is $935 a good deal?

Sounds like somebody who's first language isn't English is translating a phrase literally.

wrong side of the cow. That would be ass end side. It appears to be some sort of redneck compliment.

I would have flat out told him to "FUCK OFF" and cancelled the order. I don't care who's on the other end. you are giving them money and should not insult you for your purchase no matter the cost and no matter the meaning of the statement. Thats BULLSHIT

I'd complain to one of his bosses and send him a copy of the email and tell him that you will never shop there again.

    I'd have to agree.

"Since you have little taste for the wrong sode of the cow"

Since you have little taste = since you don't like

Wrong side of the cow = the cheap stuff

So he's basically saying you have good taste, and he's giving you a decent price as he recognizes you have good taste.

Oh... and Mark? Whoa! Easy there ... decaf is a life-choice. [IMG]

    HUH?

After closer examanation of said remark by salesman at sweetwater. I do conclude that my remark was errational and somewhat sophomoric. And he indeed was making a remark stating that he ( the customer ) knew the diff. between a quality product and a heaping pile of cowdung..

I would have asked for a translation
