On the Sony Middle East site, it says that the Sony DVP-S9000ES has a 10-Bit / 54 Mhz Video D/A Converter. I thought it had a 12-bit one.

No, I don't think it is a typo because on the European Sony sites they all say 10bit. I think only the American version has 12bit.
