I bought one Thursday - Shipped Thursday, too. I'll let you know what I think of it. The only thing on paper I see that could be nit-picked is that it doesn't offer 3:2 pulldown.

I'll be using it interlaced for at least a year, and any HDTV set will have 3:2 built in, so no loss....right?

It will be replacing my 5 year old Sony DVP-S300, which won't even do dts.

    ColinM:

Yes, you are correct about no 3:2 Unfortunately I found about it too late.

What progressive DVD player in this price range would you recommend that have 3:2?

I don't know of any progressive changers for $115 delivered, and I don't really have any recommendations since my only real experience is with that old Sony. The CP67 from Panasonic was my first choice ($160~) until I found the deal on the Onk.

Hopefully someone will chime in on the negatives of having a non-3:2 machine and how it will relate to interlaced vs. HDTV-ready displays.
