Is this a good deal for a LD package?

    $650 for a pioneer cld 925 player 50 discs and an RF demodulator? all 5 years old
    Is that reasonable?

    Yes I'd say it's reasonable, not a great deal, but certainly reasonable.
    $650 dollars converts to about £450, and given that you would struggle to buy an RF demodulator for less than £75 and the laserdisc player (the best PAL/NTSC player ever) for less than £200, this means that you are paying about £175 for the films or just over £3 a disc. Therefore on this basis it seems a reasonable deal.
    Having said that you should try to find out if the included laserdiscs are films you actually want, as you are not going to be able to buy any new films and second-hand laserdiscs often sell for prices similar to new DVDs.
    If you want the films then I'd say go ahead, but otherwise I'd use the money to add to my DVD collection, £450 will buy quite a few DVDs. [​IMG]
