I am, I hope, going to be getting a Toshiba 50H81 sometime soon. Since I am replacing an old TV (composite video only) with this new one, I will need to purchase a component video cable.
Here is my question: is there really a difference among the $30 cable from, say Acoustic Research, and the $70 Monster Cable and the $100 cable from BetterCables? I guess I am wondering if the $70 cable is twice a good as the $30 cable, or should I stop worrying about spending an extra $40 on a $2500 TV...

Here's what I've found from my experience:
    1. Good video cable - very important
    2. Good audio cable- not quite as important
    3. Good speaker cable- least important
Having said that, I did opt for the best Monster cables available for video and audio. I also used Monster speaker wire since we were pulling new wire for construction- I figured I only wanted to do it once.
