There is a lot of functionality that went away with the breakup of iTunes into three separate apps. In the TV app, not only is gifting unavailable, but you also cannot access nor add to your wishlist. All these functions are available in the Music App, but the Music App does not turn up movies in searches. So basically if you add a movie to your wishlist on your iPhone or iPad, then you can access your wishlist in the Music App on your PC, select the movie and then gift it. Really stupid.

Vudu apparently did away with gifting movies recently, too.
