This is not meant to be a dig at those who do care for style of their DVD cases. I was just wondering if I was the only person who doesn't really care about this issue?

I think that the keep cases are better, but I must admit that I'm not losing any sleep over the snappers still being used. If WB choose to scrap em, cool. If not, cool also! [IMG] So no, your not the only one!

I prefer keep cases, but snappers don't really bother me that much. It's a non-issue as far as I'm concerned.

I'm like Steve, it's really a non-issue. It isn't going to stop me buying a movie, the only gripe I have is that they don't fit well on my storage unit.

In one way I like them....For my birthday my fiance bought Ben Hur for me. It was the last one in the store and had a broken snapper case (snappers are the ones with the cardboard exterior right?). She talked them into a 20% discount because of the case! If a broken case bothes me I could always repair it with some glue or just buy a replacement.

I prefer the New Line snappers with the extra "page". Some are really fantastic (e.g. Frequency, Final Destination).
But at the end of the day, I care much more about Original Poster Art.

I don't care either. It would be nice if there was a standard size so they would fit nicely on the shelf without some sticking out further.

I think that the snapper hubs hold the disc better than a keepcase hub. I never hear the disc rattling in a snapper.

Generally I don't really mind snappers, I have a bunch of Warner titles that I bought a couple of years ago and the cases are still in great shape.
The only thing that bothers me is Warners apparent unwillingness to to do 2 disc SE's because they don't want to create new cases to hold two discs. It's kind of a srtange way of doing things, they let the cases determin whether or not to do 2 disc SE's!?[IMG]
I also don't care for the cases that 'Ben Hur' and 'Superman' are in. These are two historic films, and they are given the same cheap cardboard treatment as any other release.

I like them, too. The only thing I didn't like about them was that the cardboard art work is suject to wear a little easier, but I have all of the art work on the snappers covered thanks to www.bagsunlimited.com

While I don't like the snapper cases it won't keep me from buying a movie because its the movie that counts anyhow. Plus converting them into amaray cases isn't to hard.

    Snappers are the most durable.

Never have I gotten a broken Snapper case...and I have 15 of them. I've gotten 4 broken Keep cases.

As long as the film contained within is OAR, I really don't care.

I too don't mind the snapper cases; packaging is not the most important thing to consider when buying a DVD.

Some member (think it was Rain) once said something along the lines of: "I don't care. Package it in a plastic bag. Just gimme the DVD!"

    Couldn't have said it better.

Snappers don't bother me at all. The cases I don't like are the Alpha doubles. I have no idea why people like them. They're so big they take up too much room.

Oh, and I hate the Universal cases with that middle spindle you can't even move without breaking.
