It's described as looking some what like the Enterprise from the original series, but upside down. The main body of the ship is above the saucer section this time around with the nacells some what lower as well. I haven't seen any pictures yet. Cinescape did post what they thought might be a picture of it, submitted by a fan that took a picture of a bag or something from a Star Trek convention that said "Enterprise" on it and had a drawing of the ship. Couldn't really tell what was up and what was down from that little picture though.

    Hello -
According to Trekweb.com, the TV Guide that hits newsstands on July 9 will have an in depth report on the new series, including photographs.

Me likey. Still, the saucer looks like it was copied from TNG and the warp drive from TOS. All in all very nice though.

Go to www.darkhorizons.com. There is a link to a more detailed picture than the one above. Same picture but better quality.
I find it looks more futuristic than the original TV series.
    No surprise there.

Quick primer for those of you who are relatively new to the HTF and may want to skip ahead - Discussions where both Jack and I are involved go something like this:Spoiler:Jack says something which seems to make sense. I disagree. He responds with anecdotal evidence and interesting questions. I respond with facts and rough analysis. He says everything I say is true, and I make a convincing argument, but he's not changing his mind. The thread peters out, nothing resolved, but respect maintained.

Here's something for you to look at. A video with Scott on the bridge.
I didn't have time to watch it all (ya, but I got time to post this, huh).
    Enjoy,

Everything Jason says is true, but I disagree. [IMG]
(C'mon--Geordi was not a marginal character after the first season. And even at TNG's zenith, during the fourth through sixth seasons, the cast interaction--wonderful though their chemistry may have been--sometimes had the feel of a 1990s California encounter group; the political correctness could be suffocating. But otherwise I agree with everything you say. Again, [IMG] )

Hmmmmm. Interesting design. But one thing is spinning in my head. Why is it so ahead of it's time? How did it go from "sophisticated" to crapping looking tacky models, than to better models? What happpened?

I tend to enjoy Dr. Crusher episodes, especially "Remember Me" and another who's title escapes me, it involved her being kidnapped by a militant faction.
    cheers!

The ship looks a little advanced for something that's supposed to pre-date the Constitution class. The design too closely resembles an Akira or a Steamrunner class vessel.

Another great Crusher ep is Cause and Effect. I had actually forgotten it was a Crusher ep until seeing it again recently. I had always just thought of it as "That wacky time loop episode where the Enterprise keeps blowing up."
