Check out the Acoustic Research S108PS. It received 4.73 out of 5 for 44 reviews on audioreview.com, and was a "hot pick" for 2002.

You can get this for $99 at J&R (j&r.com) and as of Monday they had them in stock. They also were offering free shipping last week, although I don't know if it is valid now.

I second the nomination of the AR s108ps. Great little sub for the money. Don't think you can do better in your price range.

You may still be able to find a Sony WM40(if you are lucky) for around that price.

I agree with "Kevinkall", if you can find a WM40($99-$149) and stuff it will Poly-Fill it's one of the best "Budget" sub's available!
