I try to download stuff now and it always stops before the last 100k and says you have run out of space on your drive. Do I have a virus? Does anybody get this. I definitely have space left.

Do you have more than one drive or partition (e.g. a C drive and a D drive)? If your Temp or Temporary Internet Files folder is on C, and you run out of space, even if you're downloading to the D drive, you can get an error.

Also, if you have corruption on the drive, it could cause a problem. Run Chkdsk on NT/2000/XP or Scandisk on 95/98/ME to check this.

So, in short, check the free space on all your drives. Also, if you run low on swap space you can get problems like that too. I recommend that the drive Windows is installed on not drop below say about 100MB of free space (depending on the total size of the drive).

If you are using ie, try bumping up your temporary internet files folder size. It may be affecting your download.
