Is there a difference between the Kenwood 507 and 509 recievers? (1 Viewer)

I'm suggesting a friend purchase the Kenwood 509 but CC has the 507 for 249.00 the 509 is 50 plus dollars more so I would like to go with the lower price if the features are the same.

The VR509 has component video switching and an RF remote. If none of the above apply, then go with the VR507.

The 509 also has an Optical Digital Output for digital recording if that makes a difference to you.

The RF remote would be worth the difference to me. But I like to control things from out of the room.
