as a Chicago neighbor, here's a couple of options:
. i ended up buying a Mits 55859 from Barrett's after negotiating between Tweeter / Barret's. there was a suprising amount of 'give' in their initial tag'd prices. by the way, i'm completely hooked on HDTV w/ an attic antenna picking up CBS/NBC/ABC/WGN/FOX from Chicago.
. i was seriously looking at a brand new Toshiba 57HX81 (very high ratings) from an internet company called www.rainbowent.com. take a look on eBay for their feedback then go to their web site. i noticed that there wasn't much difference between their reserve on eBay and their regular prices. here's the good thing for you ... you'll purchase from an Indiana company, however, they deliver out of Northbrook(or Deerfield) so you could either have delivered for $150-ish, or go pick up.
couple of considerations from someone who just went through the process ... good luck.
