With 2 hours of Family Guy tonight (which I'm not complaining about)... what's up with The Tick? I really love this show, but it seems that Fox has given up on it. Any official news anywhere?

Cancelled, and one of the nine episodes won't be aired.

    Well, thanks for nothing, Fox!

The curse of me watching it regularly has struck again.

Why does Fox keep cancelling shows that seem like they would do good. And then keep shows that suck? I want more Freaky Links!

According to my Tivo a new episode will air next week.

F*** Fox!! This show had so much potential if they would have let it grow a little and actually AIR AT A REGULAR TIME!!

"The Tick" died due to bad scheduling. Had Fox replaced the once-good, but now boring and repetitive "King of the Hill" with "The Tick", they might have had a winner.

This shows how brain dead the folks at Fox (and the other Net's) are. What do they expect when they put a show up against one of the highest-rated shows on right now (Survivor)?

They should at least see how well it does when Survivor is off. I was looking forward to catching up on the show since all I watch on Thursdays is Survivor (I tape Friends).

In their defense, The Tick's audience is not that of Survivor, but I agree it was definately a canidate for a better slot. Bad advertising, horrific opening credits, the series never had a chance. Hopefully we'll get a nice DVD set at some point

    The cartoon show was better.

Dammit! How did I know that this would be the victim of (a) bad scheduling and (b) inconsistant scheduling.

I agree that this should have been given a chance in a better slot that Thursday. I concur that placing it on Sunday in the place of King of hte Hill would have been perfect... and move KOTH to Thursday (where it would have died).

Well... Time to post a message in the Studio Feedback forum BEGGING for a DVD set of the few episodes that were produced.

Perhaps the Tick is better suited to a film, where scheduling is not an issue. Unfortunately, this will never be. After the two series, I doubt anyone is going to run with the Tick license again. Too bad too. I love both shows.

Arrrrrgh! Well, since there were so few episodes, let's at least hope they can give us a 2-disc DVD set with the unaired episode to remember this great show by.

Since I watched other shows on Thurday nights, I really was expecting Fox to come out later with a DVD set of this now-defunct series. I hope I am right because I did want to watch the show, but the competition was just too much at this time.

I didn't care for The Tick when I saw the first episode, but it grew on me a bit. Too bad it was canceled so quickly. Warburton will go on to more good roles, and I sincerely hope we see more of Liz Vassey, the adorable actress who played Captain Liberty.
