With tonight being the end of the 10th season of the Real World, is it true that they will not have anymore new shows in new locations?
I thought I heard that a while back.

No idea, but I think people might find "Real World" a bit dull these days, since it's lacking a game-show element. Personally, I haven't watched it in years, mostly because the cast members aren't doing very much but talk and talk and talk.

This was the season that would never end! This was a pretty staid season, no one was too likable, and their boring conflicts.

The Real World: Las Vegas will begin airing on MTV in the next few months. I think their loft is at the Palms Hotel and Casino as whenever I have been there (to catch a movie), I have seen film crews around filming for the new season.

They should at least change the name of the show...

I thought they were just finishing up airing season 11. They went back to New York (which aired late last year) for season 10.

Good grief, that last episode was just incredible in how it depicted how self-centered Tonya and Chris were for the group's final night in Chicago. Would it have killed either one to not work out for one friggin' day? I really can't believe how that all went down.

Tonya bugged the hell out of me. She just didn't seem to get it.

I'll give Chris a pass because he was probably the most consistent, supportive roomie of the group.

Tonya was a big user of people, mainly men. She's not what I'd call a quality person.

The Real World won't end until it has atrocious ratings. It's just too inexpensive to make to bother cancelling.

I generally rooted for Tonya. Her slamming through the B.S., when Cara was mumbling all her excuses for wanting to axe Keri's story "well, they just haven't practiced enough, and Tonya is going into the hospital. . . " was a high point of the season. She was genuinely uninterested in making "Real World make cute moments" and it made her one of the more honest people on there. That aspect was clear in her and Chris' failure to go to the "coffee shop, we love each other, sing, hug and cry, BS-fest." That little ditty was pure Kyle, run for office, image-land, and she wasn't a part of it, so why pretend?

I think one of the best Real World moments ever occurred this season when they showed Tonya talking about her roommates on the phone, while they cut to the roommates in the van talking about Tonya.

It was one of the best editing jobs I've seen. I loved how they cut Cara defending Tonya, with Tonya slamming Cara for being a slut.

    That was really funny.

My favorite part was when Tonya was on the phone with her boyfriend and she said "See, good things do happen to good people". I mean, she might be a "good" person, but come on, do you really need to describe yourself like that?? [IMG]

I haven't watched this show since the first season aired years ago now.

A bunch of late teen/early 20 something brats living in a bigger and more opulently decorated apartment than my whole house just has no appeal to me.

Their "real world" just never seemed all that real.

So how much was Tonya using her photographer "friend"? What was up with that?
