Has anyone picked up or reviewed the new Halloween 3 DVD that was released today? I'd like to know whether it's anamorphic, and how the transfer compares to the previous non-anamorphic DVD.

Yes the new HALLOWEEN III DVD is anamorphic. I watched it this afternoon (on my 16x9 Mitsubishi). It looked great! I have not done a comparison.

The soundtrack is 2.0. I don't know if it is was the same mix. There are no extras (not even a trailer).

Larry, after you got lucky, and were driving her back home, did she reveal herself to be an evil android?

HALLOWEEN III is an underrated classic, and is definitely the best film in the franchise if you ask me! It deserves a SE, but after Universal's HALLOWEEN II DVD, I wasn't expecting one. [IMG] Still, the transfer is great!

I guess this Universal release kills the hope that they were going to license Halloween II and III to Anchor Bay for special edition treatment. I heard that rumor long ago
