Anyone know? I can't seem to find this title anywhere, online or off...
I'm not positive, but I heard that it was indeed OOP. It might be re-released, but I don't know if it will be an SE or the same DVD as before.
Kenneth, it is indeed OOP.
Check out this thread for a little more information:
Cinema Paradiso and The Grifters are OOP
Okay guys, there is a GOOD reason it is
out of print.
Robert Harris, the restoration guy, and
occasional poster in here, is also an
executive producer on this film,
says the print used was not that great
and a better version is coming.
Excellent news! I'm glad now that I didn't grab it when I had the chance 6 months ago. This is one movie that definitely deserves the royal treatment. Thanks for the heads-up!
maybe we will see it in wide screen this time.
I held off on this one because I read that it was in p&s.
I didn't read all the way down to your post in the other thread. I retract the statement. Still unfortunate for Randy that he believed it was P&S.
Kenneth, check your local Circuit City stores....I just saw several copies of it today in the "Under $15" Section.
I bought one for myself (cause John Cusack's in it)...but won't get a chance to watch it till Monday. Glad to hear it's a widescreen edition, because (shamefully) I didn't bother to look at the back cover because I was in a hurry. (I was searching for "Sea of Love" but couldn't find it, so bought this one.)
