My aunt is thinking of getting one of these but they don't look safe to me. It looks like the machine would hurt your spinal column. Does anyone know any facts about the Ab-doer? I don't trust the advertisments.

It is just as safe if not safer then doing crunches without it. One of the main points to doing crunches is to strengthen your abdominals since they support your back in a huge way. The small muscles of your back the (Irecotor Spinalie sp?) need them to be strong for support.
