Is professional installation dictated by Dish Network?? (1 Viewer)

I personally have installed 4 dishes in the past with good success. Can I just buy a system and still install it myself and call them to qualify for the "I like 9" promotion??

Jeff,
Yeah, there was no way I was going to let one of their "professionals" near my house. Just:
1) Schedule the installation for a later date so you can get the stuff shipped, then
2) Install yourself,
3) Call and cancel installation, saying that you will call back later to reschedule

You do NOT need to have it professionally installed. You are required to PAY for a professional installation though.
(Some retailers are getting around this though).
