I could have sworn somewhere I read that these were being re-released with anamorphic transfers. If this is the case, I'm greatly anticipaing the better transfers. Any help would be appreciated.

Martin Blythe was approached with this question at the HTF Meet in September. If I recall there are no immediate plans for any of the series to be re-released (although Hunt is in dire need IMO).

    If you trust TDB: http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html

The studio does have eventual plans to revisit all of its non-anamorphic releases... The studio may also revisit ...the Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan films as special editions (Hunt for Red October in 16x9 anyone?), although no firm plans exist as yet.

I have no doubt that remastered SEs of the Jack Ryan Trilogy are coming, but the question is when. My answer would be fairly soon, but not too soon. I'm guessing the end of 2002.
