(They're talking about Darren Aronofsky)
I remember at least two threads about this before. But then it was only rumours. Now it is confirmed? There will be another Batman film?
Thanks,
Seb

I don't know if this is still carried out, but I believe Arronofsky was indeed committed to it. That being Batman: Year One. God knows what other plans WB has for the franchise.
I think the animated Batman movie wasn't that bad (Mask of the Phantasm) but it was in the spirit of the series, which is not the same as the spirit of the comic or the live action films. The last good Batman actor was Val Kilmer and the last good Batman movie was Batman Returns. The last one was pure cheesy, as was the third one. I hope they come up with a good and fitting title for the next one and use some good villains. This is of course my opinion, so I'm not saying I'm right about anything.
There's a rumor going around that WB has scrapped the Aronofsky/Frank Miller Year One movie in favor of a Batman/Superman team-up.
Who they are rumored to be interested as Superman: John Travolta!
Hollywood is nuts!

Why don't they just not make any more superhero movies? There is nobody who would be a good Superman (I remember hearing about Nicolas Cage a few years ago, yikes) and many other superheroes have not had good movies. Why don't they take a comic book, project it onto the screen, and have some guys just read the dialogue?

I suppose you didn't like the X-men movie? Well, it doesn't really matter because the financial success of X-men has led to a kinds of superhero movies being put into production. The strangest thing I've heard yet is Ang Lee directing The Incredible Hulk. We also have Sam Raimi's Spiderman coming next year and I've heard rumors that there will be a Daredevil and a Fantastic Four movie before too much longer. As well as sequels to Blade and X-men.
In regards to Superman, I think Vin Diesel would make a nice Superman. Unfortunately, I can't see him pulling off being Clark Kent.
